Non-native to California. Found along the creek in very damp soil, first time I've observed any Ranunculus in the park.
Friday the 13th observations (queue dramatic scary music: "baa baa bum")!
I love birdwatching here at Laney Lagoon. Although in all actuality it is a canal or slough, but Laney Lagoon sounds so much better. The area at low tide reveals a healthy mudflat that shorebirds can be seen feeding upon. During the high tide diving ducks, grebes, cormorants, and now terns fish the body of water.
