I spotted this crane fly because it got caught in a spider web. There were many crane flies in this area because of the water close by.
This waterfowl is easily identified because of the red coloring on the male. Even with the poor picture quality there is clearly red on its body and watching it through binoculars shows its beak is pointy
Both of the mallards in this photo are female because their coloring is brown. Because this is a marsh area many waterfowl birds are found around here.
