Snorkeling in shallow water.
Crazy nose fish.
Small shark in extremely shallow water, very close to shore. There were a couple of other ones doing the same thing.
There were a few of these around; they seemed to like swimming tipped over 60 degrees.
Came back the next day.

What is this thing? Maybe a phase of Dark-capped Parrotfish, like here?:

Yes this is terrible, but still possible to ID I think! All-white tail, no white on ventral fins, what looks like a white forehead spot.

Snorkeling in shallow water.
Fin unhelpfully not extended, but: tail & soft dorsal fins yellow with red border, anal fin red with white spine, stripy and a bit yellow body, and what looks like a couple of white dorsal fin spines visible.
Snorkeling in shallow water.
Fish butt. Black bar on tail, bottom rear stripes, and top orange stripe visible. This is apparently the only photo I got of one here, they weren't as plentiful or friendly as in Hawaii.
Shallow snorkeling.
Weird black bit is a background fish.

Is this the egg ribbon/sand-covered mucus excretion of some kind of mollusc?
The outside was all pink sand stuck together, and though it was floppy the whole thing held its shape quite well. I didn't want to mess it up, so I don't know what the inside looks like.
I found it sitting partially buried in the sand in very shallow water, a good ways from the reef.
Snorkeling in t in WoRMS, suspiciously; apparently a synonym?
Snorkeling at <20 feet.
Pretty big but not gigantic (like a mid-size parrotfish in length). Grooves relatively shallow.
