Very pretty. So small that my camera had a tough time focusing on them.
The air was chilly today, and the trails were muddy. It's not often that I hike while wearing a jacket.
I've seen this stuff in a few parks around the Bay Area. One of my ladybug observations features this stuff. I'm curious what it is.
I really like the green markings on the inside, middle of the flower.
This was growing on the side of the trail. It looked like little cups that could catch water. I saw a tiny flower like thing in the center of each one.
I'm glad I was able to get a clear shot of these. I wonder what they are...
More stuff growing on the side of the trail. I thought the stems/branches looked like wire.
About 8 of them were drinking from the stream as I approached coming along the trail. They crossed the trail in front of me as I reached for my camera.
A fern of some sort. I liked the pattern the leaves make, and the interesting angles.
A big, thick mushroom found in an area of the trail and behind a large tree.
Very healthy looking flower. I think all of the rain we've been having has something to do with this.
I noticed the cool design on the top of the cap. Maybe it is unique enough to ID this one...?
