Description: Male and female kingfisher have similar marking with a slate blue breast band, white belly, and blue crested head. The females also have a rust colored band on their bellies.

Habitat: Common along lakes, rivers, estuaries, and bays.

Fun Facts: The Kingfisher’s call is a loud harsh rattle.
