Description: The Northern Harrier is a long slim hawk with a long tail and a white patch at the base of the tail that is visible when the hawk is flying. Adult males are grayish in color and the adult females are brownish.

Habitat: Open prairie and grasslands.

Fun Facts: The Northern Harrier holds their wings in a slight V shape unlike most hawks that hold their wings flat.
