Description: The Rock Pigeon is a large plump bird with a small gray head and short blackish-gray tail. Rock Pigeons have two black bands on their wings. They have green and pink lines on their necks.
Habitat: Rock Pigeons are found in cities and town and on the San Juan Islands they are found around the ferry landings.
Fun Facts: When a flock of pigeons are disturbed, they will fly abruptly into the air and circle around a few times before coming down.
