Description: Tufted Puffins have distinctive orange feet and a huge orange bill. Males and females look identical, however non-breeding adults lose the bright colors and are mostly black.

Habitat: Found on the open ocean except during breeding season when they nest on rocky coasts in large groups. Often found on rocky islands around the San Juans in the summer.

Fun Facts: Puffins are the penguins of the north. Puffins swim underwater using their wings to propel themselves after fish.
