Description: The Western Meadowlark is a Robin sized bird with a bright yellow breast with a black V on the chest. The rest of their body is a streaky mix of black, brown and gray.

Habitat: Prairie and open grasslands.

Fun Facts: The song of the meadowlark is rich and flutelike. There are over 40 subspecies of meadowlarks and their songs tell them apart.
