Summary 6

Perennial twining vine with a downy stem and milky sap. Leaves are opposite, heart-shaped, to 4 inches long and 1/2 as wide, each leaf on a stalk up to the length of the blade. Flowers are smooth, star-shaped, greenish purple, about 1 inch wide, with 5 narrow lobes; clustered on long stalks; conical flower buds. Fruits are smooth, angled follicles, 3-5 inches long. Also referred to as common anglepod, angularfruit milkvine.
