Sea stars of Clayoquot Sound

Four main species of sea star inhabit the waters of Clayoquot sound: Pycnopodia helianthoides (sunflower star), Pisaster ochraceus (ochre sea star), Patiria miniata (bat star) and Mediaster aequalis (vermillion star).
