Description

Deodar Cedar aka the Himalayan Cedar is an evergreen and member of the Pinacaea family. Identifiable by bundles of bright green needles, about 20-30 per cluster, and fist sized cones that shatter and spread around the ground beneath. Deodar Cedars have a similar drooping posture to Hemlocks and are often used as urban trees because they can handle compacted soils (Brockman Tree Tour).
