Hylid? Eleutherodactylus?
this is a common weed along roadsides
I was SUPER excited to find this old friend. It's one of my favorite salamanders, and one of my favorite scientific names to say, even if I mispronounce it.
Lovely little Leopard Frog...Northern?
this little guy was trekking across our yard. probably on its way to the lake.

Found on small herbaceous plant on the edge of a dirt road in pasture. SVL ~70mm
Likely a Pickerel Frog....still not 100 percent it isn't N. Leopard. The back thighs seem to have a yellow cast but I couldn't see that until I looked at the photo.(possibly reflected light off the algae?)
I am guessing at Brown snake. Pencil thin and about 8 to 10 inches long...there is lots of water around, heavy cover, open fields, and heavily forested areas with little vegetation besides ferns and poison ivy but with abundant leaf litter and fallen trees...
Found this guy on the lawn -- it's just tiny, but very eager to get away. I couldn't show more of the body for the photos - it'd get away. Habitat: lawn next to bottomland hardwood forest, sw TN. Perhaps a very young Southeastern Five-lined Skink ?
These (monitor lizards) were quite numerous on this small coral atoll way out off the coast of Belize. Some of them were as big as a cats, and could get a bit tame - waiting for scraps from the kitchen. Males vied for territories by bobbing their heads in the air (really funny)!
Hylid? Eleutherodactylus?
I saw this salamander come out from under wood and leaf debris on the forest floor in dense hardwood bottomlands. It was gray with diffuse black bands throughout. As I tried to photo it, it scooted away so fast, I only got a shot of its tail; I couldn't locate it after that (it was too fast). I think it may be a Marbled Salamander, or a Tiger Salamander. ANy thoughts?
