This is one of two tarantulas I saw while casually walking around dusk in Chesebro Canyon. Both tarantulas were out in the open, crossing the path.
Tall (over 6 feet) shrub plant with clusters of small delicate white flowers.

Woodrat midden observed in floodplain of Ventura River, on the Steelhead Preserve, recently after removal of invasive giant reed biomass.
The foliage smells like sage.
