These are a few things that caught my eye in the backyard today.

Downy Woodpecker (at its cavity nest)
Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher
Eastern Phoebe

I saw some wonderful bugs today and yesterday -- a side benefit of the heat which slows me down and makes it perfect weather for looking at insects.
