To ID a tree from photograph you should be sure to get close up shots of the leaves (both sides) and the bark. Sometimes the twigs and buds can be diagnostic too. For example, in Coast Live Oak I always look for these little fuzzy "hair armpits" where the veins meet on the underside of the leaf.

Yeah, I think your ID is probably correct but I can't be sure from this photo.
