Medium-large (circa 2 cm x 8 mm x 8 mm) black and red blister beetle, feeding on flowers of an unidentified leguminous shrub. Note: although called a blister beetle, this species can generally be handled with little risk

learned, that most Asian spp. now are in Hycleus (split-off genus).

appears to be smaller than 20mm - so can't be H.phaleratus.
