Yeah, this was indeed a strange spider! I found in in Rajaji NP, Motichur. It's web was so thin and almost invisible, as if it was gliding in air!

Dr Sudhikuma, Indian spider taxonomist, told me this was a male of Argiope sp. (Araneidae)
