silver has U shaped sinuses and freemanii has v shaped... freemanii has teeth along along the leaf edges and silver not so much near the base... based on that though it could be either... i am not certain. you may be right about silver

Mostly silver maple by the looks, it could be 1/4 or 1/8 red maple to have that color though.

yeah, it's a hybrid swarm type situation and iNat (and every other taxonomic entity) struggles with that. I agree this one has more silver than red, and in that situation i'm not sure how best to deal with it!
