I can't recall for sure, but I believe this herd was wild. Or at least noone was around to tend to the herd. The domesticated herds I observed had shepards and many of the camels would have cloth tied to them.

I don't think these exist in the wild anymore, according to 'he world's only population of dromedaries exhibiting wild behavior is an introduced feral population in Australia.'
