Probably at least 10 males were calling from a small, concrete fish pond. One pair was observed in amplexus. Later a single individual was found in a nearby garden.
The chorus sounded like a bunch of carpenters driving nails into loose bamboo pieces.
Shown a pic later, an older local woman assured me that this species was poisonous to eat.
Any chance you would consider licensing this image under CC-BY-SA or similar so that it can be used on Wikipedia? Their current article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaloula_rigida doesn't have an image.
Yes, I would be glad to do that. I actually have an individual image which might be better. I'd like to have a photo credit. How would I go about doing it?
The data quality assessment is a summary of an observation's accuracy. All
observations start as "casual" grade, and achieve
"research" grade when
the iNat community agrees with the observer's ID, where an "agreeing"
identification is one that matches exactly or is of a child taxon of the
observer's ID. For example, if Scott says it's a mammal and Ken-ichi
says it's Homo sapiens, then Ken-ichi agrees with Scott.
the observation has a date
the observation is georeferenced (i.e. has lat/lon coordinates)
the observation has a photo
Observations will revert to "casual" grade if the above conditions aren't met or
the community agrees the location doesn't looks accurate (e.g. monkeys in the middle of the ocean, hippos in office buildings, etc.)
the community agrees the organism isn't wild/naturalized (e.g. captive or cultivated by humans or intelligent space aliens)

this pretty much walks you through the image uploads. If you choose the default license, that will require all re-users to credit you.
Once you've done the upload, I can put it into the wiki page for you.
PS. both the individual and the pair would be great.
Ok, two images are uploaded to wiki. My wife also has some images which may be useful. I'll upload them when we get them off her camera.
Superb. I've added them to the article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luzon_Narrow-mouthed_Frog others will probably migrate it into other languages at some point.
