Fritillary?
Based on orange underwing, sorta green eyes, and range.
I could only get distant shots using my zoom lens. But from what I've seen online I think your'e right.
The clean, wide submarginal/postmedian band between the two rows of large silver spots on the ventral hindwing suggests a Great Spangled. Aphrodite fritillaries don't have such a wide band, especially in the east. Can't really tell from these photos (maybe you have a dorsal view), but the Great Spangled lacks a dorsal black spot near the base of the forewing that the Aphrodite typically has.

Thanks for helping me ID it a little better though. I just got a great squirrel photo today at the place I took this.
