Jakob, this bat is BEAUTIFUL! I saw the news recently of the similarly patterned bat in Sudan - http://www.fauna-flora.org/news/striped-like-a-badger-new-genus-of-bat-identified-in-south-sudan/ and sent it around to all my bat-loving work colleagues. All of us marveled at it.

Hi Matt, it is the very same species as in our publication except that the other authors decided to create a new genus for this species. It is certainly one of the most spectacular bats in Africa and world-wide.
