K+, added photo showing water on left and KOH reaction on the right. L. linita should be K-. Maybe L. pseudopulmonaria?

I think this may be the same individual as in this photo: http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/4930731 (it was taken at the same location, but there was more than one on the tree)

Interesting - it did lack lichenized diospores correct? If ao it must be one of those two, if you did chem. Testing than thats probably a good way to distinguish the two although thats not always reliable.

Chem tests on Lobaria species are supposed to be on the medulla, so your K+ test on the lower cortex doesn't tell anything. But this does not really look like L. pulmonaria.
