Yes, it was beautifully timed. We had gone up toward the wildlife sanctuary upstream, and seen nothing. Just as we got back to the rental beach, I had asked if anyone wanted to head down toward the harbor because of the sign saying that you weren't to approach marine mammals, but they might approach you. Most of my family came with me, and just as I pulled around the corner, this huge sea lion sprang out of the water in front of me onto the dock, streaming with water and sunlight.
