They remind me of the flat top Jeffrey Pines in California, neat evolutionary convergence I guess. Also, that lichen is amazing.

seems araucarias and nothofagus have similar origins to other genres from australia, tasmania.
the lichen are usneas, and proto usneas. they usually grow on the south face of trees.

En moquehue, de los años 50 a los 80 se producia la extraccion de madera. ceso a partir del año 1982.
