Description

for context, see daily account on 3/31 at Pack Forest. this tree is right outside the lounging room. it has certain branches with bright red-tipped needles, and some very small, down-hanging cones. one of 17 western washington connifers.

I think that is right, based on the somewhat elongate scales (leaves). These look longer, and a bit more pointed, than what I would expect from Thuja.
