Description

Not sure what kind of sandpiper it was. Pretty tiny- say, a bit smaller than a Mourning Dove. Saw it on the rocks at the jetty of Meigs Point.

Oof, sandpipers are haaard. I'm stumped without my eastern bird book. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

I Think it is curlew sandpiper from the smaller size and distinct supercilium.

Its a least sandpiper. Curlew is exceedingly rare in the US
