Description

The Potato bug that I saw at Annadel was very big. It had an orange-brownish color to it. The head had a carmel color and the rest of the body looked like a striped sort of pattern. It has six legs. It also had antennas and it was very big. not what I expected a potato bug would look like.

Hi Vanessa, I'm glad you made it to iNaturalist!
This looks like the jerusalem cricket photograph from our field walk? Is it? If so, it's better to do duplicates of the same identification (rather than use an incorrect photo.

It's definitely a Jerusalem cricket. You can tell it's not a beetle by the lack of hard wing covers (or even wings). It's also much bigger than the Colorado potato beetle.
