This is a millipede, not a centipede. Millipedes are generally more tube-like have smaller legs than centipedes (also millipedes have 2 pair of legs per body segments, while centipedes only have one pair). Millipedes curl up for defense since they lack the poisonous fangs of centipedes.

the iNat community agrees with the observer's ID, where an "agreeing"
identification is one that matches exactly or is of a child taxon of the
