Description

These little birds can be found all over campus hopping around on the ground looking for food. This one, like the others of its kind, has a black head, a brown body, and a white breast. They are all very small and no larger than about 4 to 5 inches tall. I have seen their nests on the UW Seattle campus on the Burke-Gilman trail and they build them on the ground.
