Another species of giant ichneumon, sharing the same stump with Megarhyssa atrata. A dozen of these were searching the wood beetle holes on the stump, and laying eggs.

Comments & Identifications
Nice one. There are only a handful of species in this genus, and I think only this and M. greenei have yellow chevrons on the side of the abdomen. M. greenei should not have that dusky patch in the wings (I think), so I believe this is M. macrurus.
