Description

Raking up dead leaves on a rock garden this little guy was hiding beneath the leaf litter. This small snake was about10 to 12" long with a narrow head, small eyes, a pinkish colored belly and pearlescent scales. It sat motionless until I tried to move it to get a better pic of it's head at which time it quickly made it's way into a small opening and by the time I could get the camera on it all that was left to shoot was the tip of it's tail.
