This is one of the bigger toads that I have seen. It is hanging out near the house, beneath a cardboard box I left out to attract critters. It has made a shallow depression in the dirt and plops it's massive girth down into it. Warts and other features are nearly obliterated by its tautly stretched skin. I am pretty sure it is an American toad...just a really big, fat one.
