Description

You cannot really tell by this photo, but this is the biggest one I've ever seen. It seemed at least a foot long. Very alligator-like!

Cool! I can't tell northern v. southern from the picture, but I'll agree its an alligator lizard

It's rear legs were quite reddish - like a brick-red.

Fat head and yellowish eyes suggest a Southern, but I'd want to see a closer shot of the head and maybe the ventral scales to be sure.
