Since I see these guys every day out there, this will be my single, token observation.
after all the fuss several years ago about the removal of the deer from the island I guess the population is getting bigger. Is there any control being tested?
At the moment none that I know of, but I wouldn't doubt seeing it in the future. With current funding and such there isn't a lot of wildlife management being done.

Yes, they are quite ubiquitous throughout Marin County.
I work on Angel Island and they're pretty much everywhere there, and have very little fear of humans, so I spot them several times a day.
