Leaves were palm size, on average. The small patch of trees hosted a range of sizes, from juveniles to anywhere between 5-10m. Although the underside of the leaves look similar to that of B. repanda, they weren't particularly soft - possibly because of the fungus?

Found on a fallen beech tree branch. Has a rubbery feel to it and has maintained it's shape very well. The area in which it was found had a lot of rotting branches and fallen trees, with the most common species being red beech.
