Desert Cottontail (Sylvilagus audubonii)Observer

Seen in an open patch of grass near Lot 6, a parking lot at UCR.The temperature was around 50 degrees F and no cloud cover. The rabbit was sitting in the patch of grass for a few minutes before it hopped away.
Although not seen in the picture it had the white tail that is characteristic of the desert cottontail.
