Although the woodland crocus isn't a true native in Belgium, but it is considered naturalized in several places, albeit rather rare.
During sunny weather (not today;-)!), the flowers are wide open, and the leaves of this species are rather narrow.
You can find this fungus the whole year through on dead wood.

It's a species of hoverfly, that has no common name in English. The Dutch names could be translated as 'Bumblebee giant' or 'Bumblebee-fly'.

Last year, I haven't seen a single small tortoiseshell, but this afternoon there was suddenly one feeding on Sheep's bit
Today I found 20-25 (at least) of these bugs on annual honesty (Lunaria annua). At bit strange, since these bugs are usually found on members of the Rosaceae family, in particular on sloe (Prunus spinosa).
