Last year, I found some firebugs feasting on a juicy piece of spidermeat, but those bugs are merely vegetarian, and apart from lindenseeds, they are fond of the seeds of Malvaceae, like this hollyhock.
Helichrysum italicum is one of the flowering plants in my garden that doesn't get much butterflies to dine... But this map seemed to be attracted by the curry-like scent, and seemed to enjoy what it got there. It has been visiting every singel flower of the plant.
Day-active moth on hyssop.
Day-flying moth, seen in Italy (Gran Paradiso), height 2000 m (6000 ft), in a small flower-rich meadow in dappled shade.
The insect was flying low above and between the vegetation.
Found in my kitchen!
