-Large wading bird with black, naked head
-Found 10m off the ground in a Cypress (Taxodium sp) tree overhanging the water.
-Apparently scanning the water for potential prey items

-9/8/18 @ 1147 hrs
-Partly Cloudy, 85°
-Cryptic green, brown, and black coloration with distinctive light colored Y across dorsum and dark triangle on the cranium, small in size, call sounded like clicking marbles together
-Seen in fairly open pine forest with invading hardwoods, lots of leaf litter and fairly moist substrate and humid conditions
-Detection avoidance behavior sitting still until threat gets too close then hops several times a few meters away before remaining motionless again

  -Six light colored lines running across the dorsal surface down the sagittal plane, long whip like tail, tinge of blue coloration, very fast moving.
  -Seen along trail side near pavement, sand, and short herbaceous ground cover 3 meters from wetland.
  -Appeared to be hunting ants.

  -Mostly cloudy, 87°
  -Hard, unhinged shell, yellow stripe near the mouth down the neck, shell patterning obscured by organic matter
  -Found in artificial pond by Reitz Union
  -Found basking

• Overcast, 87°F
  -Gold flecks across the back and distinctive white stripe down the side are excellent indicators of the species.
  -Found approximately 20 meters from edge of swamp on the adaxial surface of cabbage palm leaf.
  -Apparently stationary on approach.

-Slightly overcast, 76°F
-Grayish-Tanish pelage in range of Sciurus caolinensis
-Found in urban environment with hardwood canopy forest 60 meters away.
-Individual was foraging for tree mast.

• 8/30/2018 @ 2204 hrs
  -Clear skies, 74°F
  -Large, knobby postorbital ridges and warty skin
  -Found at base of bush approximately 60-70 meters away from water body in apartment subdivision.
  -Appeared motionless until approached, at which point it fled.

• 8/30/2018 @ 1501 hrs
  -Overcast with showers, 80°F
  -Large parotoid glands relative to body size, warty skin, distinctive orange pigmentation on the plantar surface of each foot. Pale line extending across the back.
  -Found along edge of walking trail by the base of a large slash pine
  -Fleeing from potential predator (myself)

-Raining, 80°F
-Legs and claws suited for arboreal behavior, green coloration, slender bodied, pink dewlap, beginnings of metachrosis in caudal region.
-Found 5 meters from water’s edge, bordering walking trail with hardwood canopy cover.
-Found seeking shelter running along the lead litter; was caught and transplanted into Sabal palm

-8/30/2018 @ 1415 hrs
-Showering overcast, 80°F
-Relatively robust body, orange dewlap, distinctive line along sagittal plane, brown-tan in color, limbs suited to semi-arboreal behavior
-Found skirmishing through Salix sp. beside boardwalk over artificial cypress drainage swamp, 2 meters above water level.

-8/28/18 @ 1645 hrs
-Cloudy, Low pressure, 85°
-Found 5 meters from water’s edge of hydric hardwood dominated swamp.
-Dark, vertical striping, heavy bodied, wide head, and white supralabial scales confirm cottonmouth
-Found in defensive coil
