Very common 1978 - 1980

I was present when both male and female were captured on the nest. I convinced them to release the birds. Dates not exact, but location is close.

Juvenile animal captured and brought to me in 1979 or 1980. Do no know origin, but do not believe it was transported more than 20 miles. Does not look like stripes of zebra duiker.

Assumed to be fairly common (but probably also confused with Malachite Kingfisher). This bird was eventually eaten by local boys.
