Found a Painted Turtle on a log while on a hike to the nature reserve on September 20, 2016 at 3:54pm. The turtle was approximately 1.5 hands in length and 1 hand in width. These turtles like to bask in the rays because it helps with shell growth.

Found on a table in Mt. Blakiston while on my way out on September 19, 2016 at 8:27am. The Western Conifer Seed bug has a very distinct pattern on its back with a pair of larger hind legs and 2 pairs of smaller legs. The conifer seed bug is dominantly brown in colour. And approximately about 0.8cm in length and 0.2cm in width

Found whilst biking on the way to Mt. Blakiston house on September 21, 2016 at 10:20am. The ground squirrel was popping out of his hole, the ground squirrel was approximately 0.75 hands in height and 0.25 hands in width.

Found hidden moving along the tall grass while riding my bike on my way towards the nature centre in the early evening on September 17, 2016 at 8:03pm. the porcupine has a dark face and the body covered with quills (Clearly). The quills were black and white. About 1.75 hands in height and 1 hand in width.

Mule deer found eating grass while I was riding my bike in the early evening on September 17, 2016 at 8:13pm. The deer had a brown-grey coat with a white underbelly. The deer has a black outline along its ears. Approximately 5 hands in height, 3 hands width looked very young.
