I do not know the name of this flower. If you know, please comment and I will change the observation.

Nesting behavior: a Great Egret standing in a nest in a Eucalyptus grove off the Batiquitos Lagoon trail. I saw 3 more nests in Eucalyptus trees that were unoccupied.

I saw several (20 or more) Coast Range Fence Lizards all along the trail at the Batiquitos Lagoon in Carlsbad.

I saw 4 new yucca plants, Our Lord's Candle, on the walking trail at Batiquitos Lagoon. One was not far from the Nature Center and 3 were bunched together further down the trail.

I saw 10-16 Green-winged Teals feeding at the shore of the Batiquitos Lagoon, in Carlsbad.

Regularly seen in since November 2016 (when I moved in) at my yard in a private residence.

California Thrasher was singing a short phrased song for a good 10 minutes at regular intervals. Looking around and seemed to be guarding territory.

5 Canvasbacks, 2 males 3 females regularly seen in Pond behind Commons Park since November when I started working at 4s Ranch Sports park.
