This is a phylidiid nudibranch that has a black dorsum covered in white pustules that are arranged in groups. It has black rhinophores and no visible gills.
A brightly-colored dorid nudibranch that's identifiable by distinct "pits" or black dots on the blue area of its dorsum. It often has black longitudinal lines on its back, but less so than other similar-looking species (e.g., Chromodoris magnifica). The mantle is edged by a yellow or orange band, which in turn is encircled by a white margin. Its rhinophores and gills are red or deep orange.
