Weather - A little overcast and chilly, for a summer day.
Habitat - along a creek bank, in a shore pine forest next to the beach.
Comments: Vibrant shrub. Most of the species around here were unfamiliar to me.

Habitat: Interspersed throughout the prairie, Primarily on top of the mounds. These were planted, as part of the prairie restoration effort.

Comments: Interesting to see Oak in its "natural" environment. Looked like some insect was munching the leaves. These also looked water stressed.

Comments: Apparently the roots are edible...
