What

Picture-winged Antlions (Genus Glenurus)

Observer

Date

Description

Forewings look like they are dipped in silver; black body and eyes.

I've looked through all my entomology books and online guides. I'm completely stumped.

Anyone out there know what genus and species this is?

Green Lynx Spider (Peucetia viridans)

Description

So much to do at KidSpace Museum, but it's this little Green Lynx spider (Peucetia Viridans) attending her egg sack that grabbed my attention.

(I'm pretty sure that it is Peucetia Viridans, but it was significantly smaller than the ones that I've seen in the past. There's a possibility that it could be P. longipalpis. With the location and small size, I wasn't able to see the chevron pattern on its back - but, I also wasn't able to see white hairs on the abdomen that would have identified it as P. longipalpis. With the coloration of the legs, I'm still going with P. Viridans, but I'd be appreciative if someone with more experience than I can positively identify it.)
