Seven of these large pinnipeds were seen on the sandy backshore, within the view of Marinelli Glacier on Tierra del Fuego. We had to take a small zodiac boat in order to get ashore from our cruise ship.
These Peruvian pelicans were seen on near shore rocks somewhat north of Las Salinas. On some of the same rocks were seen Humboldt penguins.

Seen perching on a dead branch on a sunny day near the mouth of the famous Cueva del Milodon, where remains of the extinct giant sloth have been found as well as habitation of mesolithic man. The vegetation here is mostly scrub, with some nothofagus.
