Night photograpsh of this arboreal pitviper. It spends its time on vegetation close or overhanging forest streams.
This species is found east of the Mekong River in eastern Cambodia, southernmost China (southeastern Yunnan), Lao PDR, and Viet Nam (Streicher 2004).

Heteropoda maxima or Giant Huntsman spider (biggest spider species on earth) is here preying on Micryletta inornata. The load beeing greater than it's own weight, the spider secured itself to the rock face with a thread of silk.

Nice encounter with this critically endangered tortoise in Phuket Khao Phra Thaeo National Park. Had to wait 30 mins before it started to move again. Total carapace length of 46 cm.
