The male duck was following me around and then I saw the the mommy duck and her 11 babies. I suppose that he was defending his family. It is really cute. :3

The flower was about an inch wide and was a purple/blueish color with dark purple stripes in the middle of petals; also with a yellow center. The flower was raised off the ground about a foot high.

This plant was about a foot and a half high. It smelled like black licorice. The leaves were string-like and all over the branches.

Description

This middle-size bird caught my eye when I saw a flash of red from the corner of my eye. I know this is a Red-winged Blackbird because my kindergarden teacher taught us to identify these kind of bird along with King Fishers and house Sparrows.

Description

The flowers were about 2 to 3 inches across and the stem had one flower per stem. The leaves were about an inch long and spaced about 3 to 4 inches apart. The plant itself was about 2 and a half feet high.

It was hidden in some tall grass along a lakeside trail at A Place to Play. At that time of the day, thou, (around 6 o'clock) the flower was closed up for the night. It also was growing naturally, so I couldn't pick it to get a better picture.

It was about a foot and half in height. It was next to a small creek, not directly in the water, thou. Leaves didn't start immediately from the ground, but started roughly about 6 to 7 inches.

Description

The moth was about 3 to 4 inches from tip to tip, its body was about an inch and half big. It didn't flight away when I got close to it and it was daylight, too, maybe that's why. I stepped on a broken branch then, it flew up onto my shirt. I think it is a male because of it colors.
